The record of service of the  North Riding Infirmary over
the past Century is one of which the people of Middlesbrough and the
outlying districts can be justly proud; a record which is not so much the
story of the outstanding achievements of the few, but rather that of the
devoted work of many whose names are too numerous to record in so brief a
history. Infirmary's will continue to provide it's outstanding service as
part of the planned main site at South Cleveland Hospital by year 2004. So
long as it is required to serve the public it will do so in accordance
with the traditions passed on by all those who have gone before and who in
this Centenary Year we remember with a deep feeling of pride, gratitude
